Our History
Founded in Calgary in 1977, Polanie has become one of Canada's most recognized Polish folk dance ensembles, sharing the beauty of Polish song, dance, and tradition with audiences locally and internationally. Throughout its history, the group has proudly represented Calgary at major cultural events, including the 1988 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremonies and 1993 Grey Cup, while inspiring generations of dancers through a commitment to authenticity, community, and excellence.
Presenting the rich heritage and artistic traditions of Polish folk dances. Our high standards of technical merit enrich the development of our dancers, and entertain our community with dynamic interpretations of Polish dance forms.
