Polanie performed Zywiec and Taniec Heroda ('Dance for Herod')

Polanie Junior performed a brand new choreography (Patrycja Czerska) for Lublin for the first time, as well as Polonez to conclude the pageant.

Krakusy performed Goral Podhalanski and Krakowiak.

The senior ensemble of Polanie performed

the newly renewed Mazur as well as Zywiec for the guests.

VESSEYS FLOWER BULBS

AND SEEDS FUNDRAISER

For the first time ever all three Polanie

dance groups are selling flower bulbs

 and seeds to raise money

 for the needs of our association.

APRIL

CHILDREN'S HOPITAL FUNDRAISER

April 27th (Friday)
-Location: Royal Canadian Legion- Forest Lawn
-Performance time: approx 8:15pm
 

The senior ensemble of Polanie performed Mazur, Polonez and a combined Polonez with the audience to treat all individuals involved in this particular fundraiser for the Alberta Children's Hospital.

MAY

May 6 (Sunday)- Akademia III Maja (Krakusy and Polanie Jr.)

At the Polish Canadian Cultural Centre

Meeting time: 3pm

May 27th (Sunday)- Lilac Festival performances throughout the day. (All groups)

JUNE

June 1st & 2nd (Friday & Saturday) - trip to Regina for their Mosaic Festival! (Polanie Senior)
 

June 15th & June 16th (Friday & Saturday) -

30TH ANNIVERSARY SHOW AT THE PLAYHOUSE THEATRE!!

June 16 (Saturday) - immediately after the show we had a reception for all dancers and ticket holders at the Auburn Saloon (right next to the Playhouse Theatre).

Also celebrated the 5th anniversary of Krakusy!

June 23rd & 24th (Saturday & Sunday) - Our lady Queen of Peace Polish Festival (All Groups)

June 28 (Thursday) - Krakusy Performance at the Spruce Lodge.

AUGUST

August 19 - 23 - Krakusy dance camp at Sylvan Lake (Camp Woods)

Augsut 24-28 - Polanie Junior dance camp at Sylvan Lake (Camp Woods)

Thank-You to Malgosia Witokiewicz, the cook, for her efforts and yummy food. 

Also, Thank-You to the chaperones whose help was greatly appreciated:

Mietek Wegrzynski, Mietek Wisniewski and Adam Sliwon.

Lastly Thank-You to all volunteers whose help made these camps possible,

 especially Marta and Jozef Zdonczyk  for help with transportation and shopping!
