POLANIE AT THE LILAC FESTIVAL

This was the first time that Polanie had an opportunity to showcase their dances at the Lilac Festival. It was a memorable day with all three ensembles performing. In fact, it was the first time that the senior ensemble debuted the newly choreographed 'Kujawiak & Oberek' suite choreographed by Patti Czerski. Polanie also performed 4 other dances: the 'Nowy Sacz' suite, the 'Goral Podhalanski' (Highlander) dance, a dance from the region of Zywiec as well as the recently renewed Mazur. Polanie Junior performed the 'Beskid' suite as well as 'Lublin' and the always popular Polka. Our Youngest ensemble, 'Krakusy,' performed the 'Slask' suite of dances for the very first time, which were recently choreographed by Kasia Ustienny and Kasia Stevens.
